Who is the course for?
Job search revolves around networking and building relationships with employers and marketing and branding yourself. Our process is a positive process and builds your confidence as you grow your network and market yourself successfully. Applying for jobs directly you will find is a very negative process and destroys your confidence as you constantly get rejected and don’t understand why.
The more time you invest in networking, the greater your chances of finding that great job offer sooner. You need to grow your brand and market yourself whilst still offshore, creating awareness of your skills and getting the most exposure possible in the country of your choice. Your aim is to grow your network exponentially over time.
This will finally result in you receiving a job offer sooner when onshore, or maybe even a skype interview whilst you are still in your country of residence saving you that job search trip which is not cheap!
Every country’s culture is very different from one another and you need to understand this before an interview or coffee date.
We give you a minimum of 5.5 hours of training/meetings in English or Afrikaans!
Course content
- Setting up your LinkedIn profile to look professional & convey as much information in the shortest amount of time possible.
- Search engine optimize your profile, so it can be found easier by potential employers.
- Updating critical information, like your current profession, key roles, professional achievements & 30 second summary (30 second elevator pitch).

Pillar 2 teaches you to connect with the right people at ALL levels in NZ. We teach you to connect at 5 different levels and how to start building meaningful relationships with peers and employers in New Zealand. We help you and guide you through this process.
