This multiple-entry visa is designed to strengthen family connections without placing pressure on public services. It is not a pathway to residency, but it offers a meaningful opportunity for families to spend time together long-term.

Key Requirements Include:

Financial Criteria: Must meet one of the following:
– Sponsor earns at least NZ median wage ($31.61/hour) or 1.5x median wage for joint sponsors.
– Parents have personal income equivalent to NZ Superannuation.
– Parents have sufficient personal funds ($160,000 for singles / $250,000 for couples).

Health Insurance: Coverage of at least NZ$250,000 for emergency care, cancer treatment, and repatriation, maintained for the entire stay.

Health Assessments: Required at application and again in the third year.
Visa Cost: NZ$3,000 (or NZ$2,450 for Pacific applicants), plus an international tourism levy of NZ$100. A third-year health check processing fee also applies.
